we remember the preuniversity classes on latent heat of fusion of ice. it is the heat needed to convert ice at zero degrees to water at zero degree. i was trying understand the relation between the information entropy and the entropy of physical systems. there is a similar concept and i stole the preuniversity term to attach it to entropy: latent entropy.
latent entropy of a system is the microscopic Shanon information required to define a system completely defined by systems macroscopic variables.
i will think about this and write more when i understand more.
